A recent Influencer Marketing Hub Study shows that influencer marketing has grown to $16.4 billion in 2022, and there has been a 465% increase in searches for the phrase “influencer marketing” on Google alone since 2016. Insane.
This boom in popularity has heavily impacted broader branded content. With 80% of media digested by 16-34yr olds being digital and an estimated 50 million people identifying as content creators worldwide; brands are relying on UGC more than ever before and emerging platforms are also built to favour this type of content.
But it’s not that straight forward. The same IMH Study shows that whilst some companies gain up to $18 EMV for every influencer dollar spent… 25% either lose money or just break even.
This brings us to the most common question we get asked when it comes to influencer marketing…
How to incorporate UGC into broader omnichannel campaigns, getting that raw, authentic look, but without compromising the brand.
Virtual Production might well be the missing piece for your influencer marketing strategy.
Here’s why.
It’s obvious that in recent years, brands have been relying more and more on influencer marketing to reach their target audiences. However, these campaigns often come with their fair share of limitations – especially when it comes to the filming environment and maintaining brand consistency.
You’ve done your research and identified the right person for your campaign, now it’s essential to ensure that your brand image and message are properly conveyed in the output… But you’re pretty much stuck if you can’t be there on the day to guide them.
There’ll (inevitably) always be a risk of losing creative control over the finished piece.
What if…
- We could bring their actual house to us, whilst protecting the authenticity of the content?
- And you could provide real-time direction and feedback?
Virtual Production involves shooting content in a digital environment, allowing for full creative control over every aspect of the production process. It allows you to create the perfect backdrop for a particular product or service – whether it’s designing it from scratch using real-imagery or CGI, or simply swapping out details as the situation demands.
This can include anything from 3D modelling and animation to virtual reality and augmented reality. The result is a highly immersive and engaging experience that can transport audiences to… wherever you want them to!
The thing is, influencer marketing campaigns need to work both ways. They need to feel authentic, influential, and attract a high level of trust, but also need to represent your brand.
Virtual Production enables brands to create lifestyle content that is fully aligned with their messaging and image. And when done properly, it’s indistinguishable from a real location.
It means you no longer have to compromise on your brand image.
You should never have to.
Together, we can carefully craft a virtual space that exists in real-life (somebody’s home), but perfectly represents your brand values and resonates with your audience. Getting you behind the camera and collaborating directly with your influencers, making as many alterations as needed – during and not after the filming takes place.
And by doing so, creating a seamless and automated workflow with efficient steps for uploads, moderations, dynamic transformations, optimised/secure delivery at scale – and ultimately raising the bar on the quality of content shared beyond your brand’s social media pages.
We are set to revolutionise the way brands approach advertising and branded content, and those who embrace it are likely to reap significant rewards.
